Walking with Jesus Bible Study
We have completed working on the novel Walking with Jesus by Kisung Yoo. It focuses on your your relationship with Christ in knowing Him and being with Him. It is a wonderful novel if you would still like to work on it by yourself or with a small group of your own.
Hope4Kids International
For over 40 years, Hope4Kids International has been committed to serving children living in impoverished environments around the world by establishing economic, spiritual, water, orphan, and feeding programs. Their vision is healing and empowering destitute communities with hope and necessary care to raise a new generation of healthy individuals who can break the generational curse of extreme poverty. We exemplify the spirit of Jesus to show that all children are worthy of a prosperous life and bright future.
Samaritan’s Purse - Operation Christmas Child
It starts with a shoebox gift, packed in Jesus’ name and full of love an prayer. We provide gifts to children during Christmas time and send the good news and great joy of Jesus Christ.
Jeri Can Project Books for Uganda
As a service to God to help and love others, we are collecting gently used books for children in Uganda. Reading is a very fun and educational activity, and it should always be encouraged to children, especially those who may be going through difficult situations.
We always welcome recycle and canned/non-perishable food for our homeless community. It is our local mission to stock the food pantry and help others in Christ’s name.
This year for Lent’s Music and a Meal, we collected monetary donations each week to support the ELCA Global Mission support to feed the children.
We have chosen to support Pastor Hitoshi and Sakato Adachi in the Kumamoto, Japan mission he serves by providing financial support each Palm Sunday for his pending mission. Since Palm Sunday 2018, Pastor Hitoshi has written several emails of his work and God’s Blessings on the people of Kumamoto and the Jai’ien (House of Hope).
St. Luke’s has been supporting the Dream Builders Spanish for Kids Ministry with learning their Spanish every Saturday. This has truly been a blessing for the children to learn another language and culture.
